Excellent opportunity for Scholarships for 12 months of Advanced Arabic study in Cairo: CASA@AUC

The Department of Arabic Language Instruction (ALI) at the American University in Cairo (AUC) is pleased to announce that applications for CASA@AUC and CAASIC 2023-2024 are open as of November 10th, 2022.

The Centre for Advanced Arabic Study (CAASIC) offers CASA@AUC, a 12-month intensive, advanced language and culture immersion experience in the heart of Cairo, Egypt, as well as shorter summer (7 weeks) and fall and spring (9 months) programs.

Applications are open for serious, advanced Arabic language learners from the USA and ALL parts of the world. The program is open both to those who can pay tuition (Pay Your Own Way) and to those who qualify for scholarships on the basis both of merit and of availability. Applicants can apply for CASA @AUC full-year scholarship or apply for CAASIC Fulbright financial support as announced in this link.

• The CASA@AUC scholarship offers full tuition for 32 credit hours over three semesters, starting summer 2023 till the end of Spring 2024, a monthly stipend for 12 months, and 1 round-trip flight ticket. Selected applicants will be required to buy AUC’s international medical insurance.
• CAASIC applicants who would like to be considered for Fulbright funding, need to check the Fulbright dates here. American citizens who apply for Fulbright support for CAASIC short-term Fall and Spring program, should apply and get accepted by AUC in 2023 to be considered for CAASIC 2024.
