    The Department of Arabic Language and Literature at the University of Haifa, Israel, invites applications for a position in Modern Arabic Literature, with a preference for candidates specializing in modern Arabic poetry, pending budgetary approval.

    Successful candidates will be expected to teach eight hours per week per semester (both undergraduate and graduate), supervise theses, and perform regular non-teaching duties. The language of instruction in the department is standard Arabic.

    Candidates holding a PhD with academic teaching experience and a promising publication record are invited to email a cover letter, cv, list of publications, a research plan, names of three referees (PhD supervisor plus two senior scholars) with their academic affiliation and contact details to Prof. Ibrahim Taha: itaha@univ.haifa.ac.il.
