    Visiting Part-Time Faculty Position in Arabic
    (1 Course - Fall 2024)

    GENERAL INFORMATION

    The Department of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a full-time visiting faculty appointment in Arabic Studies (https://www.holycross.edu/academics/programs/arabic) to begin August 2024. This is a one-semester appointment with a teaching load of 1 course in either the elementary or intermediate Arabic language. Candidates must have native or near-native proficiency in Arabic and English, a Master’s degree or above (including ABD) with expertise in Arabic language and culture.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Candidates must demonstrate commitment to, and excellence in, undergraduate teaching as informed by current practice and scholarship in the field.

    APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

    Please submit a cover letter addressing the position requirements listed above, curriculum vitae, statement on teaching, graduate transcripts, two confidential letters of recommendation, and preferably a link to a recent video of yourself teaching Arabic. Provide information about the location of the class and the level of the students in your video, the topic(s) that your lesson covered, and the learning goals you had for the students in that class.
