The Center for Languages and Intercultural Communication invites applications for the following position:

Lecturer in Arabic, https://jobs.rice.edu/postings/21497

This two-year appointment will begin 1 July 2020. Upon successful performance review, the appointee can be offered additional contracts. Responsibilities include teaching, with special attention to the design, preparation, implementation, and evaluation of the syllabus, exams and other assessment instruments and daily lessons and development of a coherently articulated program of instruction across levels of competency. Teaching takes place in the context of implementing our innovative, research-¬based curriculum and participating in CLIC governance (e.g. faculty meetings). Additional responsibilities may include assisting with the development and revision of assessment instruments.

Salary will be commensurate with credentials, experience and demonstrated ability to develop research-based, innovative second language curricula. Rice offers good institutional support for professional development and state-of-the-art technological facilities are available.
