The Center for Language Studies (CLS) at Brown University seeks a dynamic language professional for a full-time position as Visiting Lecturer in Arabic beginning July 1st, 2019. This is a one-year replacement appointment. The teaching load is 6 courses per academic year (2 semesters). Requirements are:
1. Master’s degree or equivalent in Arabic language, literature, linguistics, or language pedagogy;
2. Proficiency in Modern Standard Arabic and in spoken and written English;
3. Experience in teaching Arabic at the college or university level;
4. Familiarity with and commitment to innovative methods of language instruction.
