Arabic Instructor (Iraqi Dialect) - Germany

Culmen International is a US Government contractor currently recruiting for an Arabic and Iraqi Language Instructor (Modern Standard Arabic and Iraqi Dialect—Baghdadi Variant, candidate must be able to teach both the dialect and language). Start date is Mid-May 2017.

Requirements:

  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English at a 2+ level.
  • Instructor will teach up to 8 adult students 6-7 hours per day up to 35 weeks per year.
  • Ability to teach students to read, write, speak and understand to a level 3 (US Government Interagency Language Roundtable) Modern Standard Arabic and Iraqi Dialect.
  • Ability to write and provide sample lesson plans and a syllabus.
  • Ability to qualify to obtain a German work permit.
  • Ability to qualify for an NACI clearance.
  • Provide sample lesson plans, copies of diplomas and certifications, and contact information for references.

Experience:

  • Must have taught Arabic or Iraqi in the past 5 yrs.
  • Must have lived in an Arabic speaking country after the age of 18.
  • Must have 5+ years of experience teaching adult learners of Modern Standard Arabic and/or Iraqi Dialect.

Education:

  • Master’s Degree in teaching, languages, or a related subject.
