University of Pittsburgh, Summer Language Institute, Intensive Beginning Arabic Instructor

The University of Pittsburgh’s Summer Language Institute(sli.pitt.edu) invites applications for a part-time instructor of Beginning Arabic for Summer 2016. This 8-week intensive beginning Arabic course meets Monday – Friday from 9am to 3pm beginning June 6, 2016 and concluding on July 29, 2016 (instructors must arrive to Pittsburgh by June 3rd). The course covers the equivalent of one academic year’s worth of Arabic instruction. The successful candidate will have a relevant Ph.D. (or be ABD), have a minimum of near native fluency, and extensive experience teaching Modern Standard Arabic and the Levantine dialect in the university setting.
