Associate School Inspectors - Adjunct positions

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) is a regulatory body of the Government of Dubai and is responsible for the growth, direction and quality of private education and learning in Dubai. The Dubai Schools Inspections Bureau (DSIB) evaluates the performance of schools and the outcomes for students against the best performing countries in the world. DSIB provides the Government of Dubai and the wider public with an accurate and detailed view of the quality of private education in Dubai.

About the position
DSIB is seeking bilingual (English/Arabic) professionals with subject expertise in Arabic, Islamic Education, Mathematics, Science, English, Social Studies or Special Educational Needs to conduct school inspections.  Applicants should have experience and knowledge of different curricula; for example UK, US Common Core, French or International Baccalaureate (IB).

Inspections taking place over the academic year from September to April. Successful applicants are asked to commit to the number of weeks of inspection. KHDA then enter into contractual arrangements with Associate Inspectors for an agreed number of inspections.

Successful candidates will undertake lead or team inspector roles, in adherence with the DSIB framework and guidelines. This will include the responsibility for high quality:

  • Pre-inspection analysis
  • On-site inspection
  • Collection of evidence
  • Written reports

Inspectors are paid on a highly competitive daily rate. Transportation and accommodation are provided in Dubai.

DSIB will provide training and development. We take a ‘hand on’ approach from day one and you can expect regular reviews as we work with you to develop and adapt your inspection skills to the Dubai context.
