Senior Bilingual School Inspectors - Arabic, Islamic Education or Social Studies

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) is a regulatory body of the Government of Dubai and is responsible for the growth, direction and quality of private education and learning in Dubai. The Dubai School Inspections Bureau (DSIB) evaluates the performance of schools and the outcomes for students against the best performing countries in the world. DSIB provides the Government of Dubai and the wider public with an accurate and detailed view of the quality of private education in Dubai.

About the position
DSIB is seeking bilingual (Arabic/English) professionals with subject expertise in Arabic, Islamic Education or Social Studies to conduct inspections in Dubai.

It is essential that applicants have experience of living and working in an international context.
Applicants should have experience and knowledge how of these subjects are taught within the context of different curricula; for example UK, US Common Core; French or International Baccalaureate (IB).

Opportunities for full-time positions are available immediately. Remuneration packages are extremely competitive and include medical insurance, travel allowances, end of service gratuities.

• Responsibilities - Participate as a team or lead inspector in adherence with the DSIB framework and guidelines; write reports were judgements are accurately recorded.
• Competencies - Ability to: assess complex and conflicting evidence; reach secure judgements and report these accurately; represent DSIB to external stakeholder; demonstrate effective leadership and management.
• Skills - Excellent oral and written communication in English; demonstrate good interpersonal and well-developed IT skills.

We take a ‘hands on’ approach from day one and you can expect regular reviews as we work with you to develop and adjust your inspection skills to the Dubai context.
