Arabic Lecturer, Georgia State University

The Middle East Institute at Georgia State University invite applications for the anticipated, full-time non-tenure track position of Arabic Lecturer to teach courses in Arabic beginning August 2015. Applicants should have a Ph.D. or M.A. in Arabic language, literature or other appropriate discipline and native or near-native fluency in Arabic and English. The successful candidate must have a demonstrated interest and expertise in second-language instruction, solid interpersonal skills, and a high level of teaching competence. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. Interviews will be conducted at the 2014 MESA annual meeting held in Washington, DC (application deadline Nov. 1, 2014). This position is contingent upon budgetary approval. An offer of employment will be conditional upon background verification.
