DESCRIPTION

  • This session will introduce participants to some of the essential best practices for teaching world languages online. Topics will include: choosing between asynchronous and synchronous formats, backwards design, assessment, favorite tools for the modes and skills, and creating a class community.

PRESENTER

  • Shannon Donnally Spasova
    Shannon is an Assistant Professor of Russian and Technology Specialist. Her degrees are in Slavic languages and literature and instructional design and her ongoing teaching and research interests include instructional technology in language teaching, blended learning, and curricular design. She is the editor-in-chief of the FLTMAG, a publication about language learning and technology.
