Assistant Professor of Transnational Studies, Texas A&M University

The Department of International Studies at Texas A&M University announces an entry-level assistant professor tenure-track position in the area of Transnational Studies. Candidates must be prepared to teach a variety of courses in our large, interdisciplinary International Studies degree program that combines humanities-based research with the social sciences. The department is also home to modern language majors (French, German, Russian) and minors (Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian).

Preference will be given to candidates:

  • credentialed to teach culture and/or language courses in any two of the modern language programs in the department;
  • with demonstrated commitment to cross-border, comparative, and interdisciplinary research and teaching;
  • and with scholarly research and publication appropriate to a research-oriented department and university.

PhD required by date of appointment. Interviews will be conducted at the MLA Convention in Chicago.
