The Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School in Rockville, MD is seeking an experienced teacher of Arabic for grades 9-12 for the 2013 - 2014 academic year.

The ideal candidate will be:

• A native speaker of Arabic or someone with near-native fluency.
• Someone who has successfully taught Arabic to non-Arabic speakers for at least three years, preferably at the middle and/or high school levels.
• Skilled in the pedagogy of second language acquisition and will be adept at cultivating listening and speaking proficiency in students from the outset.
  

Proficiency in Hebrew and experience in Jewish day schools is preferred but not required.
