Indiana University, Bloomington, full-time lecturer in Arabic

The Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures at Indiana University, Bloomington, seeks applicants for a full-time lecturer in Arabic, effective Fall 2014. Responsibilities will include teaching three courses from beginning to advanced-level Arabic per semester and actively participating in all the academic and cultural activities of the Arabic program. The successful candidate will preferably have a PhD in Arabic language, linguistics, applied linguistics, or a related field, and is expected to be competent in the use of instructional technology and communicative, standards-based teaching methodologies. The candidate must demonstrate native or near-native proficiency in Modern Standard Arabic, an Arabic dialect, and English.
