Global Language Translation, Inc. is an award-winning company providing language instructors to government agencies and others in the Washington, DC area.

We are currently seeking Arabic (Libyan) instructors for our client agency in the Federal Government. These are full-time teaching positions; duties may include testing, curriculum development and other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

Instructors provide all levels of language instruction to US government personnel and their adult family members.

Mon. - Fri., 7:15 AM - 4:00 PM or as assigned. Small classes in a campus setting in Arlington, VA

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • Be a US Citizen, have a green card or US work authorization
  • Be a native or near-native speaker of Arabic (Libyan), educated in the language through high school; higher education in the language is preferred.
  • Be knowledgeable about cultural norms and current usage of Arabic (Libyan)
  • Have minimum 3 years full-time experience teaching Arabic (Libyan) to adults and a solid background in language-teaching methodology and adult education.
  • Be knowledgeable about the grammatical features of Arabic (Libyan)
  • Have taught speaking, reading and listening
  • Be familiar with learning technology and assessment
  • Speak and understand English at a high level; ability to write in the target language is a plus.
  • Be willing to learn and open to feedback
  • Be flexible regarding duties assigned as these may vary.
