VISITING FULL-TIME FACULTY POSITION IN ARABIC
College of the Holy Cross, Department of Modern Languages and Literatures
The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a two-year full-time visiting faculty appointment in Arabic language and literature or language and linguistics to begin in August 2013. Applicants must have native or near-native fluency in Arabic and English and demonstrated ability in teaching Modern Standard Arabic language to undergraduate college students in the U.S., and should be committed to the development of an Arabic Program in a liberal arts setting. Ph.D. or ABD in the field of Arabic literature or linguistics preferred. The College expects to review its Arabic Program in 2014- 2015 to determine if there is sufficient continuing demand to support a tenure-track line.
Visiting full-time faculty teach 3 courses each semester and are eligible for travel support and reimbursement of relocation costs within the College’s published policies.
