Teacher of World Languages: Arabic, Caesar Rodney High School

Required Certificate: Teacher of Arabic

The preferred start date is August 20, 2012

Overview:
Individuals who are eligible for or who possess Teacher of Arabic certification AND who meet the "highly qualified" teacher requirement are encouraged to apply.  All candidates must apply online.

Qualification: Applicant must meet State of Delaware licensure and certification requirements for Teacher of World Languages: Arabic.  The State of Delaware will recognize standard certificates from all other states as a means of eligibility.  Applicants who have a major in Arabic from a Regionally Accredited U.S. College may apply as a candidate for this position through the Alternative Routes to Certification (ARTC) program. Passing PRAXIS I scores and passing ACTFL Oral and Written Proficiency scores are required for all candidates who do not currently hold a standard certificate.  Teachers who hold a current and valid teaching certificate in any other content area may qualify for this position by taking the ACTFL Oral and Written Proficiency exam. Before employment is offered individuals must demonstrate: successful criminal background check; official transcripts and/or copy of high school diploma; 4 letters of reference; and all necessary employment requirements.  SALARY:  In accordance with the State of Delaware and local salary schedules, based on experience and training.
