WAKE FOREST UNIVERSITY’s Middle East and South Asia Studies (MESAS) Program seeks applications for a one-year position as Visiting Assistant Professor in the Arabic language, beginning July 1, 2023. We seek candidates who have a commitment to excellence in teaching. Applicants must have a Ph.D. (or ABD status) in Arabic linguistics, literature, second-language pedagogy, or a related area. We seek a candidate with native or near-native fluency in Arabic and English, and experience in teaching Arabic language courses of all levels as well as for specific purposes at the university level. The candidate will be expected to teach six courses per year or the equivalent.
