American Academy Egypt is a school with a good reputation for providing a comprehensive program for the study of Arabic as a foreign language to students from around the world. Specializing in both Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and Colloquial Egyptian Arabic (CEA), American Academy's intensive courses give students the opportunity to learn the Arabic language through theoretical and practical sides. The 2012 Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and Colloquial Egyptian Arabic (CEA), program:

An intensive 12weeks program (with one additional week of orientation and evaluation) for beginner or intermediate Arabic language students who have completed at least one subject of formal Arabic training at colleges and universities.

Program Focus:

Teaching Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and Colloquial Egyptian Arabic (CEA)to students with the goal of enhancing functional usage of the language through the study and analysis of the media: print, broadcast, internet, film and literature.

Program Locations:

13 weeks in 6 October city, Giza. Housing in apartments building , Triple-occupancy.

Program Dates / Contact Hours:

January – May, 2012 and July – September 2012. Class hours: 2.5 hours a day, 3 days a week, for 10 weeks classroom hours, not including contact time for Arabic films, topical lectures in Arabic, peer facilitator sessions and language teacher-accompanied excursions.

Application Deadline:

December 21, 2012 for January intake and March 20, 2012 for July intake. There is a $25 application fee, or its equivalent in Egyptian pounds (non-refundable and subject to the exchange rate).

$1600 fees per trainees, [Tuition; Room and, transportation from the airport to the housing and from housing to the academy daily]. excursions ,meals, personal spending money, insurance and international airfare are not included.
